Itinerary At Glance

DAY 1: Arrival Nairobi

Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport Nairobi, you will be met greeted by our company’s representative and transferred to the Golden Tulip Hotel in preparation of the next day. It is ideally located just 5kms southwest of the City within the spacious Carnivore grounds and its iconic Carnivore Restaurant, Tamarind Tree Hotel has easy access to Nairobi, its national park, and the country’s diverse attractions via the neighboring Wilson Airport and Southern Bypass. The nearby Langata and Karen suburbs are among Nairobi’s liveliest and most popular with world-class shopping malls and excellent restaurant.Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

DAY 2: Nairobi >>>>>Maasai Mara National Park.

After breakfast, you will be picked from your hotel by your driver guide. You will then set off on a drive of 3-4 hours heading to Lake Nakuru National Park which is regarded by avid birders as the greatest world ornithological spectacle on earth. Upon arrival you will check into your lodge, have lunch and in the afternoon, you will go on an afternoon game drive at around 16:00 Hrs. The Park is famous for its millions of pink flamingos lining on the shore. It is the sanctuary to the Black Rhino and the Rothschild giraffe. Drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

DAY 3: Game Drives in Western Serengeti >>>> Transfer to Central Serengeti

Full Day Explore Maasai Mara National Park

Full day spent exploring the park in search of the big 5. Take full advantage of what the Mara has to offer. Choose from a wide range of activities including the optional hot air balloon safari that can be arranged at an extra cost, optional cultural visits to the local Maasai villages at an extra cost. The Maasai tribe is among the few tribes in Africa whose culture has lasted for years without changes and the locals are jointly living together and who partially contribute to the protection of wildlife and defined cultural tours as well.

In dramatic fashion, catch thousands of the great wildebeest, zebras, antelopes and elands, followed by gazelles as they cross over returning to their breeding grounds from Serengeti-Tanzania to Maasai Mara-Kenya between the months of July and October. Drive back to the camp for dinner and overnight stay at

DAY 4:Maasai Mara >>>> Flying To Northern Serengeti

After Breakfast on a scheduled flight, fly from Maasai Mara to Serengeti. On your arrival our Driver/Guide will pick you at Kogatende airstrip. After meet and greet you will be transferred to your tented camp for some refreshments and a hot lunch. After a short time of relaxation begin your afternoon adventure exploring the vast plains of the Northern Serengeti. Be mesmerized with the wildebeest crossing the mara river, this great show on earth will astound you. Take your time and enjoy your game drive and in the evening return for dinner and overnight at your Tented Camp. Dinner and Overnight at Mara katikati Tented Camp / Or Similar Upon Booking Comfirmation.

DAY 5: Explore Northern Serengeti / Wildebeest Migration

Early morning after your breakfast, depart from camp to your outstanding game drives in the northern Serengeti. Stretching from Seronera for about 100km north to the Kenyan Borber, the northern Serengeti/Kogatende is gently undulating region, broken by small rivers and occasional hills and kopjes. There are good permanent populations of wildlife in several areas here, including the very beautiful lobo Kopjes. It is interesting varied habitation that’s far from the park main entry point in the south and hence it receives delightfully few visitors. 

Between August and October, you can still enjoy spectacular crossing of the Mara River, A particularly stunning show to watch. 

Afternoon, return to the Camp site for hot lunch (OPTION you can either decide to depart with packed lunches or return for hot lunch) and some rest before embarking for your afternoon game drive till evening. Return for Dinner and overnight at Mara Katikati Tented Camp.

DAY 6: Central Serengeti >>>> Arusha

After your healthy breakfast check out from the lodge for your last game drive in central Serengeti. Enjoy your morning game drive later break for a picnic lunch and late in the afternoon drive from Serengeti to Arusha. A two-hour drive passing through villages and towns found outside the city of Arusha. Arrive for dinner and overnight.

Once in you can opt to explore the beauty of Arusha city from Clock tower (the half way between Cairo Egypt to Johannesburg South Africa) and walk to Maasai Markets, proceed to Arusha Declaration monument and museum, central market to learn different African spices, vegetable and fruits. Dinner and Overnight at Kahawa Lodge/Or any similar accommodation upon booking confirmation.

DAY 7: Northern Serengeti >>>>> Central Serengeti/ Seronera 

This entire day is set aside for game drives upon Central Serengeti, enjoy your game en-route from Northern to Central Serengeti. The Serengeti is habitat of an abundance of wildlife such as impala, buffalo, crocodile, and hippo, is more well-known for its great migrating herds of zebra, antelope, and wildebeest. The animals’ trek is determined by the rainfall and varies from year to year. Apart from the migrating herds, we may have the opportunity to see the resident predators, leopard, cheetah, and lion, fulfilling their role in the circle of life.

After an extensive game drive we head for your accommodation for a hearty dinner and another night by the fire of relaxation and conversation under the sweeping majesty of the star bright African night out upon the ‘Endless Plain’. In the evening return to camp for dinner and Overnight at Serengeti Kati kati Tented Camp.

DAY 8: Central Serengeti >>>>Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast with your packed lunch drive game en-route to Ngorongoro Crater. Descend into the Crater for a Crater tour. This 100 square mile natural amphitheatre is a host to an astonishing array of wildlife. The Crater once a gigantic volcano is the largest intact caldera in the world.

The Ngorongoro Crater Conservation area is home to more than 30 000 protected animals. It is an area of spectacular beauty and excellent game viewing, a truly unique safari destination in Africa. When you lucky enough you may be able to see rhino, elephant, lion, buffalo as well as large herd’s zebras and wildebeest. 

A picnic lunch will be taken in to the Crater. Later in the evening drive back to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Farm House

DAY 9: Karatu >>>>Departure to Zanzibar Island

Delight in your breakfast as you reminisce on the outstanding drives in the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater. After breakfast drive to Manyara airstrip for your scheduled flight to Zanzibar at 1155hrs

Welcome to Zanzibar Island a semi-autonomous state which united with Tanganyika in the 1960’s to form the United Republic of Tanzania. It is an Archipelago in the Indian Ocean, 25 to 50 kilometers off the coast of the mainland and consists of many small islands and two large ones. Unguja being the main island, referred to informally as Zanzibar and Pemba Island. Its historic center, Stone Town which is located at Zanzibar city in Unguja Island is a World Heritage Site and Wonders of the World.

Zanzibar Island is known to offer the world’s most beautiful beaches. Miles and miles of white sandy beaches dotted with palm trees, surrounded by the clear azure water of the Indian Ocean. This Africa’s tropical paradise offers a laid-back beach life, but also a diversity of activities and colorful cultures and history. The Old Stone Town is an amazing mix of cultures where Food lovers and culture enthusiasts visit interesting cultural places like Sultan’s Palace, the Old Slave Market, Darajani or Forodhani food market and as you look forward to exploring the Spice farms, Prison Island to mention a few that will all together make a memorable holiday.

DAY 10: Leisure Day at Your Resort

Breakfast at the hotel and later spend the rest of the day at leisure enjoying the hotel facilities and unwinding at the beach. Spend the day relaxing on the beach or by the pool, exploring the local village, or taking part in one of the many activities offered which you can arrange directly with the hotel at your own costs.

DAY 11: City and Spice Farm Tour

Pick up time: 06:00 

Stone Town is an atmospheric and mystical town which is the cultural and historical heart of Zanzibar. It was constructed from coral stone during the 19th and 20th century and it was declared a World Heritage Site in 2000. Stone Town is a very lively place where you’ll find a mixture of Arabic, African, Indian and European cultures living comfortably together. As you walk through the labyrinth of streets too narrow for cars to pass, you can see mosques, churches and temples side to side.

Spices and herbs were originally introduced to Zanzibar by Portuguese traders in the 16th century, brought from their colonies in South America and India. Zanzibar was one of the world’s leading producers of spices such as clove, nutmeg and cinnamon and named as the Spice Island. A guided walk in a spice farm (shamba) for you to see how the spices, herbs and fruits grow and cultivated. Your guide will describe how the crops can be used and you will be smelling and tasting spices, herbs and tropical fruits such as clove, lemongrass, nutmeg, cinnamon, turmeric, vanilla, coconuts, papaya, chili, black pepper, jackfruit, cardamom, cassava and oranges. By afternoon you will be heading back to your resort to have an easy rest until dinner hour.

DAY 12: Departure

 

Early morning breakfast at the hotel, Check-out with short drive and shopping in Zanzibar, and afterwards drop off at the airport for flight back home. Departure time>>>>>> TBC
